Spring tension on this unit can be altered to suit ground conditions
Position #2 is a standard. The higher the number the longer it will be in low gear because it will take more centrifugal force to move the belt down into the sheaves of the driven.
If usedin a very hilly area then you would need a higher setting so it is in low gear longer.
If used on a flat area and you want to be able to go faster, quicker then you would move it to the #1 position.
The pulleys need a Centre to centre distance of 6 7/8″ to 6 15/16″ ( 174mm to 176mm)
Do not use clutch without adequate clutch and chain guard in place.
